A Free City Festival for Everyone!

Welcome to Gothenburg’s biggest public celebration. Since 1991, the festival has been an integral part of the city’s late summer. Together, we fill the heart of the city with music, food, community and experiences around every corner – an open and free city festival for everyone who wishes to take part.

Göteborgskalaset is organized by Gothenburg & Co, which is a part of the City of Gothenburg. The festival is also financed in collaboration with the partners and collaborating organizations.

Sustainability

The Festival has been a certified sustainable event for several years. It is also a ‘Eco-tap’ labelled event that meets the Fairtrade City Göteborg criteria.
