LOK
LOK are rock veterans from the Partille area, formed in 1995. Around the turn of the millennium, they broke through as Sweden’s largest Swedish‑language hard rock band, with an uncompromising mix of metal, hardcore and rap that has never stopped engaging audiences.
With lyrics delivered in the Gothenburg dialect and a fearless attitude, LOK took their place on radio playlists, festival stages and in Swedish popular culture. This was especially evident through SVT’s VOXPOP and the video for “LOK står när de andra faller”, a 1990s classic that came to define the band’s expression.
After three albums, major tours and a sold‑out show at Heden during Göteborgskalaset in 2002, LOK announced that their goals had been reached and the band went their separate ways. When they reunited in 2019 at Sweden Rock Festival, they were met by full crowds and a reception that has continued ever since. Today, LOK still deliver their hard‑hitting sound at a small number of selected shows each year and are widely regarded as a Swedish cult band with a style entirely their own.
During Göteborgskalaset 2026, LOK take to the stage once again — for the first time in 24 years.
