The Gothenburg Culture Festival is larger than ever right in the city centre.
This year, the festival area has expanded to include Kungsparken – a green oasis filled with circus and hands-on activities in collaboration with the Gothenburg Dance and Theatre Festival.
The Street Food Festival stretches from Kungstorget via Basargatan up to Bältespännarparken, offering a barbecue theme, live music and plenty of seating. The entire park is single-use free – better for the climate!
Last year’s success, Grönsakstorget, is also back with activities for a younger audience: dance, performers, workshops and DJ nights.
It’s easy to walk between the different areas – the festival spots are close to each other and connected by the bridges across the canal.
– It feels fantastic that Kulturkalaset has grown further into the city centre this year. Our central festival areas are very popular, and now even more people can enjoy Kulturkalaset in a wonderful way,” says Anna Mjörnvik, Project Manager for Kulturkalaset.
As always, Kulturkalaset spreads across all of Gothenburg through collaborations with, among others, Ö-Festen at Ringön and the ParaPuls Festival at Slottsskogsvallen. ☀️
