Calaisa emerged in the early 2000s as pioneers with their distinctive blend of americana and country. Their self-titled debut album “Calaisa” went gold, and the follow-up “Grafton Street” was nominated for a Swedish Grammy in 2009.

The band consists of two sets of siblings: Lisa and Caisa Troedsson, and Malin and Anna Törnquist. They have been recognised for their vocal harmonies, melodic precision and authenticity. They had their breakthrough in Nashville, have been nominated for a CMA Award, and have toured with artists such as Simply Red, LeAnn Rimes and Céline Dion. Drawing inspiration from Alison Krauss, The Beatles, Sheryl Crow and Joni Mitchell, they have consistently created music that feels both timeless and contemporary.

After a break of more than ten years, Calaisa have returned. With new material and experiences from life beyond the stage, they continue to develop their sound and collaboration.

Their latest album was produced together with Tobias Fröberg and was released in spring 2026.
