Ellen’s Five Endlessly Graceful Dances

A contemporary dance performance with live music in real time.

Occurrences

Saturday 29 August 15:30 – 16:15 Göteborgs Konstmuseum
The event does not require booking. You are welcome to participate!

A living body meets art in real time. In dialogue with the exhibition “Body. Ideal, Gaze, Freedom”, the body emerges in the present – in motion, in change and in constant presence.

The dancer becomes a resonant space where the body is not represented, but occurs. Accompanied by newly composed live music for vibraphone, glockenspiel and piano, a living encounter takes shape between movement and sound.

The work explores the dynamic between the static and the transient. In a space where the body otherwise appears through images and sculpture, a living body emerges here – breathing, responding and constantly changing.

Without a fixed structure, dance and music take new directions each time. Ellen’s Five Endlessly Graceful Dances open up a shifting expression, where “graceful” is not a form but a state.
