Jazz on Pippi's Tune

The singer and artist Sarah Riedel presents a popular family concert together with some of Sweden’s leading jazz musicians.

The programme features well-known melodies from Astrid Lindgren’s beloved stories, all composed by Sarah’s father, Georg Riedel. The performance has previously been a great success with sold-out concerts at Umeå Jazz Festival, Stockholm Jazz Festival and Fasching in Stockholm, as well as at schools and preschools across the country through regional music organisations.

Take the opportunity to hear music from Pippi Longstocking, as well as The Children of Noisy Village, Emil of Lönneberga and Karlsson on the Roof. All performed in new, playful and finely balanced arrangements, with space for improvisation and interaction with the audience—especially for children, on their terms.
