A walk in Västra Nordstan, in the path of the big emigration. We tell the story about the destiny of a few off the emigrants. Who where they? Why did they leave? And what happened over in America? Did they ever return?

We talk about different types of emigrants and their different ways of adjusting to the life in the new country. They all walked the streets of Gothenburg!

Practical Information

  • The city walk starts behind Tyska kyrkan, Köpmansgatan 5, and ends at Packhuskajen.
  • Simple amplifier is used.
  • The city walk is in swedish.

Tillgängligheten på den vandringen är god. Det finns inga trappor, men en del kullersten på Kronhusgårdarna. Det finns också en ramp upp på packhuskajen.

Rullstols-WC finns på Stadsmuseet

The accessibility on this walk is good. There are no stairs, but there is some cobblestone at Kronhusgårdarna. There is also a ramp up to Packhuskajen.
