This year’s “Gothenburg Reads” book is Eija Hetekivi’s acclaimed debut novel "Ingenbarnsland", set in Gårdsten and Bergsjön during the 1980s. "Ingenbarnsland" portrays an untold side of the Sweden that emerged after the “People’s Home” era and is just as relevant today as when it was first published in 2012.
Jasmin Rama is a 17-year-old poet from Hammarkullen. He was a finalist in "Ortens Bästa Poet" 2024 and has performed at events including the Angered Book Fair and World Poetry Day at the City Library. His writings have been published on the KulturUngdom website and in the newly released poetry collection "En poet från Förenade förorter".
Hanna Jedvik is an author and cultural journalist, as well as chair of Författarcentrum väst, which runs Göteborg läser in collaboration with the Libraries of Gothenburg.
