On Upper Avenyn, Musselbaren from Ljungskile will be serving Bohuslän mussels throughout all four days of the festival. Pull up a chair at the communal tables and make the most of the late summer atmosphere. No booking is required. The tables can accommodate around 200 guests at a time, and mussels will be served continuously throughout opening hours.

Bohuslän mussels are both a local delicacy and a source of pride for western Sweden. The mussels served here come from farms in the fjords around Orust and carry the EU’s Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) label, the same type of protection given to products such as Champagne, Parmigiano Reggiano and Kalix bleak roe. Farmed mussels are also a sustainable choice.
