Björn Yttling is a producer, songwriter, and artist, best known as Bjorn in Peter, Bjorn & John—the band behind the global hit “Young Folks.” Over the years, he has toured worldwide and collaborated with some of the biggest names in music.

He is currently active with Yttling Jazz and the acclaimed album Illegal Hit. Here, cinematic instrumental music meets jazz, recorded together with some of Sweden’s leading musicians. The result is both atmospheric and playful, with influences from artists such as Brian Eno and Jan Johansson.

Björn Yttling has a background as a trained jazz musician and has studied with Esbjörn Svensson, among others. Parallel to this, he has written and produced music for artists like Lykke Li, Robyn, First Aid Kit, and The Hives.

Following praised performances and sold-out shows—most recently at the Stockholm Jazz Festival—Yttling Jazz will come to Göteborgskalaset for an evening where jazz meets indie and cinematic soundscapes.
